Lakeshore's popular summer concert series kicks off Friday

The sound of music will be heard at various parks throughout Lakeshore, starting Friday night.

The Lakeshore Summer Parks Concert Series will feature an eclectic selection of music, provided free each Friday night under the stars.

"The series is all about bringing fun, family-friendly events to the communities and residents of Lakeshore," said Mayor Tracey Bailey. "It’s always incredible to experience the magic of neighbours coming together to enjoy their local parks and a bit of Friday fun. Council and I are excited to see everyone out there."

The schedule for the summer is as follows.

  • June 14 - 2K Replay - Leffler Park

  • June 21 - Dave Gatt Band - Millen Park in Woodslee

  • June 28 - Midlife Jazz - Lakeview Park and Marina

  • July 5 - Jangles the Clown with Beebo - Stoney Point Community Park

  • July 19 - Richard Janik - Comber Community Centre and Fairgrounds

  • July 26 - Mississippi Mike and the South Side Strutters - Lakeview Park

  • August 2 - Guitar Army - Leffler Park

  • August 9 - Elvis and Dawn Gori - Millen Park in Woodslee

  • August 16 - Kayden Stammler - Stoney Point Community Park

  • August 23 - Gillian Marshall - Comber Community Centre and Fairgrounds

  • August 30 - Allison Brown - Millen Park in Woodslee

  • September 6 - Justin Jewell - Leffler Park

  • September 13 - Jon Brett - Lakeview Park

Lineup and venues are subject to change.

All showtimes run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the exception of Jangles the Clown and Beebo, which will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
