A Windsor man was arrested after allegedly setting an RV on fire to escape police.
Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night police were called to Bridge Avenue to arrest a suspect on outstanding warrants.
When the suspect refused to exit a parked RV, the officers got a warrant to enter the trailer.
The suspect then allegedly lit a fire which engulfed the RV and spread to the hydro lines above the trailer. The suspect then escaped the trailer through an opening in the flood and took off.
After dealing with the fire, the officers searched the area and located the suspect.
The 41-year-old was arrested for his outstanding warrants of break and enter, theft, and driving while prohibited. He was also charged with arson with disregard for human life and arson causing property damage.
