The Municipality of Lakeshore has a new interim Chief Administrative Officer, Justin Rousseau.
Rousseau joined the municipality in 2021 as the Corporate Leader - Chief Financial Officer. Earlier this year, he was promoted to Deputy CAO.
"Council and I are confident Justin can build on our successes and deliver our vision while continuing to provide outstanding leadership," said Mayor Tracey Bailey. "Justin has managed critical portfolios such as the annual budget, financial reporting, asset management, and human resources."
Rousseau grew up in Essex County and earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor. He also has a Master's Certificate in Municipal Leadership from York University. He began his career in 2014 as the Director of Finance for the Town of Amherstburg.
Lakeshore plans to update the public about the recruitment process for a permanent CAO in the coming weeks.
