Off-duty officer finds stolen vehicle

An off-duty Windsor police officer helped recover a stolen vehicle over the weekend.

Around 3 p.m. Saturday, the off-duty officer spotted a silver 2024 Chrysler Pacifica that matched description of a vehicle stolen five days earlier.

Members of the Problem-Oriented Policing Unit were called to the property yon Bernard Road and arrested two people who were inside the van.

A 33-year-old and a 22-year-old were charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
