Swimmer goes missing off Leamington docks

The Ontario Provincial Police Underwater Search and Recovery Unit is searching for a swimmer who went missing near the Leamington docks Sunday evening.

The OPP were called to the docks around 7 p.m. after the swimmer entered the water, began to struggle, and did not resurface.

Searchers with the OPP, the Canadian Coast Guard, Leamington Fire Services, Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services and a civilian marine tow service didn't find the individual.

The OPP didn't release any further details.
