Funeral services set for three Harrow family members

Arrangements have been made for the community to remember three of the family members found dead last week in Essex.

Funeral services are set for 41-year-old Carly Walsh, 13-year-old Madison Walsh, and eight-year-old Hunter Walsh, who along with 42-year-old Steve Walsh, were found dead in their home on Thursday, June 20, on County Road 13 in Harrow.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are actively investigating the incident, which has attracted national attention.

In a joint obituary published by Families First Funeral Home, Carly was remembered for her "strong work ethic". In addition to serving on the Catholic School Advisory Council at St. Anthony's Catholic Elementary in Harrow, Carly had most recently worked as the manager at Paglione Estate Winery.

Madison was a Grade 7 student at St. Anthony's. She is being remembered as "a budding entrepreneur beginning to work either in the nail salon or at the Portuguese club, or seeing her fly across the ice rink," according to the obituary.

Hunter was a Grade 3 student at St. Anthony's and loved to get his hands dirty.

"Hunter was a busy little guy with a huge smile and an impressive dinky car collection, who loved playing outside, and testing out the new dirt bike his grandpa made special for him," read the obituary.

A public visitation for the family will be held on Monday from noon to 4 p.m., then from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Families First on Dougall Avenue in Windsor. A service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Funeral plans for Steve Walsh have not been publicized.
