Cyclist killed in collision, Windsor police investigate

A cyclist in Windsor is dead after being struck by a vehicle.

According to Windsor Police Services, police were dispatched to the corner of Lauzon Road and Edgar Street for a report of a motor vehicle collision.

On June 30 at 4 p.m. a vehicle travelling northbound on Lauzon collided with a cyclist travelling westbound from Edgar to Lauzon.

The driver remained on the scene, but the cyclist was transported to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours while officers conducted their investigation. No charges have been laid at this time, pending the full investigation of the collision.
