No one hurt in four-vehicle crash on E.C. Row

Windsor Police is still investigating a crash on the E.C. Row Expressway Wednesday night that shut down the westbound onramps from Lauzon Parkway and Central Avenue for hours.

Police say four vehicles collided on the expressway between Central Avenue and Walker Road around 4:45 p.m., causing long backups and delays for those stuck on the road.

Some vehicles turned around and attempted to escape the E.C. Row by going in the wrong direction on the shoulder of the expressway.

Westbound onramps reopened just before 7 p.m.

Miraculously, no one was hurt.

Constable Bianca Jackson said police haven't determined if charges will be laid. The incident has been transferred to the police collision reporting centre for further investigation.
