The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch with 30-75 millimetres of rain in the forecast for Tuesday.
Isolated downpours in some areas of the Windsor-Essex region could cause ponding in low areas with smaller drains.
The authority indicated the area of Lakeshore between Belle River and Ruscom River that experienced flooding last week could be more susceptible.
"The ground in this area is not expected to infiltrate rainfall as quickly as it normally would due to the previous heavy rainfall," read the watch notice.
The flood watch will stay in effect until noon on Wednesday.
