The Great Benjamins Circus has been touring North America since 2016, but it opens its first show in Leamington on Thursday.
The troupe from Texas brings its act, featuring performers from around the world, to thrill audiences at the Leamington Fairgrounds for three days before hitting the road once again.
"We have a really incredible cast this year, from Portugal, Morocco, Mexico, Chile, and the United States," said Eva Rodriguez, the company's director of operations.
In addition to jugglers, acrobats, and clowns, the show has a new feature this year, the Great American Cyclone.
"It's basically a suspended platform. On one end of the platform are two aerialists, and on the other end is a motorcycle. The motorcycle and the aerialists are connected to each other, so they spin around," explained Rodriguez.
The troupe has crossed Canada, performing in many provinces, including Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. After Leamington, the circus heads for Clarington and then Owen Sound.
Thursday and Friday have two daily shows at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. There are three shows on Saturday at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.
Show times and ticket information are posted on the Great Benjamins Circus website.
