The City of Windsor is marking the end of summer with a doggie pool party.
The city invites dog owners to bring their furry friends to the Riverside Centennial Outdoor Pool on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
The pool closes for regular programming Labour Day weekend. The water chemistry will then be adjusted to create a dog-friendly swimming opportunity before decommissioning for the season.
Advanced registration is required as space is limited. The fee is $10 per dog, free for humans (up to a maximum of three dogs, with one human per dog).
Dog owners can register for any of the three-time slots. There will be a time slot for small dogs under 50 pounds from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Dogs over 50 pounds can swim from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Dogs of any size can register for the final time slot from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society, Ren’s Pets, Laura’s Classy Canines Grooming & Daycare, and KB Dog Training will also be on-site for the event.
