Police arrest three people and recover $45K worth of stolen property

Three people were arrested and charged after police seized over $45,000 worth of stolen property.

On May 27, police began an investigation after 30 compression fittings were stolen from a business on Lauzon Road. The equipment was only available for purchase by utility companies and was valued at around $45,540.

On May 29, a 48-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking property obtained by crime.

Months later on August 9, a 37-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, trafficking property obtained by crime, and fraud under $5,000.

Finally, on September 9, a 56-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking property obtained by crime.

None of the charges have been proven in court.

Investigators recovered 29 of the 30 stolen fittings.
