Ever wanted to be a Windsor firefighter?

Applications to become a firefighter with the Windsor Fire and Rescue Services are open.

Recruitment started on Wednesday, and the fire department will continue to take applications until noon on Monday, September 30.

Applicants need to be at least 18, be legally entitled to work in Canada, possess a high school diploma or the Ontario Ministry of Education equivalent, have a valid Class "D" driver's license or higher, and have training in Standard First Aid and a current Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Certificate.

Interested parties can apply online. Those who don't have a valid email address can also visit the City of Windsor Human Resources Department at 400 City Hall Square East, suite 408, to fill out the application.
