LaSalle police ask residents to register cameras

The LaSalle Police Service is asking residents and businesses to register their security cameras to help keep the community safe.

The service is now using CAMSafe.ca to track where cameras are located throughout the municipality.

The online program allows people to voluntarily register their security cameras so that in the event of a crime or missing person case police can contact registered participants to request footage.

Registering your camera does not give police direct access to your footage and providing footage is completely voluntary.

Cameras can be registered at https://camsafe.ca/register.
