The City of Windsor has announced the schedule for this year's Ward meetings.
It's an opportunity for Windsor residents to meet with their Ward councillors and share their thoughts on priorities in their neighbourhoods and the 2025 budget process.
The first of the meetings is next week.
In Ward 5, residents can meet with Councillor Ed Sleiman at the Constable John Atkinson Memorial Community Centre on Alice Street on Tuesday, September 17, at 6 p.m.
The following night is the meeting in Ward 6 with Councillor Jo-Anne Gignac. That meeting will be in the reception hall at the WFCU Centre starting at 6 p.m.
On Thursday, September 19, at 6 p.m., Councillor Fred Francis will host his ward meeting in Ward 1 at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex. That meeting also starts at 6 p.m.
The Ward 4 meeting with Councillor Mark McKenzie is on Tuesday, September 24, at 6 p.m. at the Caboto Club in the Caboto Hall.
Councillor Angelo Marignani has booked the auditorium at Forest Glade Arena for the Ward 7 meeting at 6 p.m. on September 25.
The following week is the meeting in Ward 3 with Councillor Renaldo Agostino. That starts at 6 p.m. at All Saints' Anglican Church in City Hall Square West. The get-together will be in Scott Hall on October 1.
On October 7 at 6 p.m., Councillor Gary Kaschak hosts the Ward 8 meeting at the Windsor Seventh-day Adventist Church on Haig Avenue.
Ward 10's Jim Morrison meets with his constituents at Fogolar Furlan Hall on North Service Road East on Tuesday, October 8, at 6 p.m. He'll be in Windsor Hall.
Fabio Constante, the councillor in Ward 2, is holding his meeting at Mackenzie Hall Cultural Centre at 6 p.m. on October 22.
The last meeting is for Ward 9 residents. Councillor Kieran McKenzie starts the meeting at 6 p.m. at Roseland Trinity United Church on Howard Avenue on October 23.
Members of the city's administration team will join councillors to answer questions about the 2025 budget process and gather resident feedback.
Mayor Drew Dilkens warned residents earlier this week he anticipates a difficult budget discussion this year. Home and business owners could face a greater property tax increase than they're used to.
Those who cannot attend meetings in their ward can also have their say by calling 311 or visiting the city's website.
An online survey is also available from September 17 to October 23 to provide direct feedback.
