London woman charged in crash that injured four

The Ontario Provincial Police has charged a London woman after a crash in Lakeshore last month.

Just after 1 a.m. on August 12, a vehicle hit a house on Highway 77 at County Road 8.

No one in the home was hurt, but paramedics rushed four people in the vehicle to the hospital, including a 7-year-old child.

Police charged the woman last Friday. She faces four counts, including operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm, and driving under suspension.

Police took her into custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

Essex County OPP encourages anyone who sees an impaired driver or one driving dangerously to call 911 or *OPP.
