Suspect wanted in attempted Windsor break-and-enter (VIDEO)

Windsor police are looking for assistance in identifying a man caught on camera kicking in the door of a west-end home.

Surveillance camera footage showed a man forcibly entering the house on Huron Church Road off Malden Road at around 5 a.m. Thursday.

The homeowner then confronted the man, who fled the scene.

No one was hurt, and no items were taken.

The suspect is described as a Black male, between 40 to 50 years old, bald, between 5' 7" and 5' 9" tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a purple and blue shirt and beige pants.

Anyone who knows who the suspect is, or with more information, should call Windsor police's Target Base Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
