Blue Rodeo booked for January show at Colosseum

Just two days after members of the band became new inductees at the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Caesars Windsor announced Blue Rodeo is coming to the Colosseum.

The show is Thursday, January 9, at 8 p.m.

Blue Rodeo emerged in the 1980s as a countrified rock band when hair metal and pop music were all the rage. The single "Try" became a mainstay on rock radio stations.

Always bucking the trends, Blue Rodeo recorded "Five Days in July," their most acoustic album, and scored their biggest-selling hit when grunge bands like Nirvana and Hole ruled the airwaves.

Since then, the band has recorded 16 studio albums, including their latest "Many A Mile," which includes many of their greatest hits like "Til I Am Myself Again" and "Lost Together."

Tickets for the show in January go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. through caesarswindsor.com or ticketmaster.ca. The Box Office is open Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 8 p.m. and on Show Days from noon to 10 p.m.

Shows at the Colosseum this month include, Burton Cummins on October 18, Jesse McCartney on October 11, Nikki Glaser on October 4, and Carly Pearce on October 3.
