Brentwood Recovery Home plans healing garden with $100,000 in donations

Between St. Clair College and Rona+ stores in Windsor, Brentwood Recovery Home received $100,000 in donations to create a healing space for those seeking addiction treatment.

Brentwood started working with the college's Landscape Design and Horticulture program over a year ago to design an outdoor space that promotes peace, tranquillity, and healing.

Brentwood clients, alumni, and staff judged the student submissions, taking the best elements from the designs to incorporate into a final concept. Lake Shore Landscaping created the final rendering of the project.

The therapeutic landscape project should open by the end of next summer.

At the same time, Brentwood started working with RONA to build greenhouses and raised beds for Brentwood. Staff at RONA helped build those earlier this month.

The RONA project was funded through donations to its annual Home Sweet Home campaign last year.

Both projects were announced on Friday and help mark Brentwood's 60th anniversary this year.
