City to begin second phase of Bright Lights prep on Monday

Crews are moving forward with preparations for a beloved holiday tradition.

Starting Monday, the City of Windsor will begin more adjustments at Jackson Park as setup continues for the next edition of Bright Lights Windsor.

Crews will begin the installation of additions to the perimeter fencing, to enclose the west side of the park running along the Ouellette Avenue-Tecumseh Road intersection to the Ouellette overpass, blocking off the west side of the pathway that runs by the replica warplanes monument.

Earlier this week, fencing began off the north end along Tecumseh Road East. The service road north of the Queen Elizabeth II Sunken Gardens remains closed.

All areas of the park and the pathways not affected by work are open.

Bright Lights Windsor 2024 starts on November 29, and ends on January 7, 2025.
