Windsor teen charged with breaching bail conditions

A 16-year-old boy is facing additional charges after Windsor police say he violated the terms of his release in a previous case.

The teen was arrested earlier this month for charges that included assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, and failure to comply with two judicial orders.

House arrest was among the terms of the boy's release. However, Windsor police bail compliance officers received information that he violated those terms.

The youth was found on Friday in Walkerville and arrested.

The boy, who may not be named under the Ontario Youth Criminal Justice Act, now faces two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
