Public school board lists Prince Andrew and Western for sale

The Greater Essex County District School Board has listed two properties for sale, the former Prince Andrew Public School and Western Secondary School.

Prince Andrew closed when Legacy Oak Trail Public School opened, while Western shut down after the board built North Star High School.

Offers must be submitted at the school board's office on Park Avenue West in Windsor by 2 p.m. on November 22.

Prince Andrew Public School on Kelly Road in LaSalle was built in 1960 and sits on 6.07 hectares of land. It has a solar facility on the roof.

Western sits on 26.71 hectares of land. Built in 1975, it's located on North Townline in Amherstburg.

Those interested in making an offer can view Prince Andrew on November 7 at 9 a.m. or 11 a.m., while those considering buying Western can tour the property on November 8 at 9 a.m. or 11 a.m.

The board must sell the properties at fair market value.
