Driver extracted after vehicle hits home in Amherstburg

Windsor police's Amherstburg detachment said a driver had to be extracted from a vehicle following a collision on Wednesday.

Officers responded to the 6th Concession Road North, near North Side Road, at around 12:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found that a vehicle had struck a house.

Police say Amherstburg firefighters and Essex-Windsor EMS were also on the scene to help extract and treat the driver. The 6th Concession was closed at that location to allow that operation.

No additional details were immediately provided on the extent of injuries or damage.
