Tips sought in Windsor break-in and fraud investigation

Windsor police hope someone can help identify a man suspected in an ongoing fraud and theft investigation.

Officers were called on Sunday to a home on Curry Avenue near Tecumseh Road West, and learned that someone had broken in and stolen a wallet containing credit and debit cards.

The stolen cards were later used to purchase items at businesses on Mill Street near Sandwich Street, and on Campbell Avenue near Rooney Street. Security cameras caught the suspect at one of the locations.

The suspect is described as a White male, between 40 and 50 years old, with a moustache. He was wearing a black Air Jordan baseball hat, a grey sweatshirt, and glasses.

Police have asked to public to take a look at the image above and give them a call if they recognize him.

Anyone with information should call the Windsor police's Target Base Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
