Suspect sought in string of Remembrance Day robberies

Windsor police believe the same suspect is tied to a series of armed robberies on Monday.

Three incidents were reported within one hour.

The first was around 8 p.m. at a convenience store on Shepherd Street West near Dougall Avenue. Police said the suspect entered the business, selected items, approached the counter, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect then fled with the items and the cash.

The second robbery occurred shortly afterward on Erie Street East near Elm Avenue, at another convenience store. The suspect entered, threatened the employee with a weapon, and made off with cash and merchandise.

A third robbery was reported at around 8:30 p.m. at a business on Ottawa Street near Windermere. The suspect again threatened the employee and took off with goods and cash.

No one was physically hurt in any of the robberies.
