Lakeshore is renovating its municipal hall. Here's what to expect

Services at Lakeshore's Municipal Hall start moving to the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre on Monday while renovations get underway in municipal offices.

Construction starts a week from now to expand meeting space, office space, and new accessible washrooms.

During the move, if residents need specific services like planning, building, by-law, and legislative services, they'll need to call ahead and make an appointment so the town can ensure staff are available.

Property tax and water bill payments will be available at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre starting on Friday. Debit service won't be available, but Lakeshore has alternative payment options.

All front-line municipal hall services will move to the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre on December 2.

Upcoming municipal council meetings, including those in December and January, will be relocated to the Essex Civic Centre in Essex.
