When the first snow falls, LaSalle's newest snowplow Jack Frost will hit the streets.
The latest vehicle in the fleet was named by a Grade 1/2 class at Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School after a town-wide naming contest held in the fall.
"It was something we thought of to get the kids involved. It's always fun doing things with the kids and seeing them so excited about something to do with public works and the town. It's a really great event," said Mark Beggs, with the Town of LaSalle.
Officials from the Town of LaSalle brought the snowplow to Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School for the kids to see and explore.
Teacher Kim Tonietto said the kids were very excited to win the contest.
"They were like 'Madame I can't believe this, oh my goodness we're going to get to me it.' When they heard it was coming it was just the biggest thing since sliced bread. It was amazing, they loved it," said Tonietto.
This is the second snowplow to be named by the community, the first one was called Sonic.
