Leamington offering bill pickup locations during Canada Post strike

The Municipality of Leamington has provided options for bill payment as the Canada Post strike continues.

Waste and wastewater bills are still being drawn up, but the Municipality warns that due to the strike, those depending on getting them in the mail could face costly delays.

"To prevent delays and save $3 per bill, residents are encouraged to sign up for e-billing," read a release from the Municipality. "Those who register for e-billing before the end of the day on Thursday, December 5, will receive their November bill via email."

Pickup options have also been created to help residents access and pay their bills.

The Leamington Municipal Building will accept debit and cheque payments on weekdays during regular business hours.

A pickup event will be held on Monday and Tuesday at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Payments will be accepted by cheque only, payable to the Municipality. Receipts will not be provided.

The next billing date for water and wastewater is December 23. The Municipality reminds residents that it is their responsibility to make payments on time.
