Woman dies after vehicle crashes through south Windsor home

Windsor Police hope someone has information or video footage of a minivan crashing through a house in the south end, killing a woman.

Officers were called to the home on Riviera Drive near Labelle Street just before 3 p.m. on Sunday after the vehicle struck the front and exited through the back of the house.

Three people were home at the time. Paramedics rushed a 73-year-old woman to the hospital, but she later died of her injuries. A second person in the home suffered non-life-threatening injuries, along with a passenger in the minivan.

The driver wasn't hurt.

The incident shut down Riviera Drive for several hours while police investigated.
