If you own a business that supplies the Town of Amherstburg with services or products, it has a plan to ensure it makes its payments on time.
The town usually sends vendors a cheque through the mail, but during the Canada Post strike, that's impossible, so those payments are available for pickup.
Vendors are encouraged to contact the town's finance department before coming to town hall. The representative will need proper identification.
Those who would prefer those payments be sent by courier can be accommodated.
Hours for pickup at town hall are between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
The town also encourages suppliers to sign up for electronic funds transfers. The form will be provided along with cheques.
Vendors are also reminded that Amherstburg Town Hall will close on Tuesday, December 24, and will reopen on Thursday, January 2.
