Good Samaritans helped prevent a holiday tragedy off Windsor's shoreline over the weekend.
Windsor police were called to a marine emergency at Lakeview Park Marina at around 8 p.m. on Friday. On the way, the officers learned that a man had fallen into the water after standing too close to the marina wall. A second person had jumped into the water to help.
Bystanders had helped one of the men out of the water before police arrived. Officers and the good Samaritans immediately used life preservers to remove the second person from the water.
The two men in the water were treated in hospital for hypothermia.
Police would like to thank the residents who stepped in to help prevent the marine emergency from worsening.
