Three Windsor-Essex charities are receiving the benefits of a successful golf tournament held this summer.
Officials with the 2024 Roseland Responder Golf Classic presented the groups with cheques of $7,500 apiece during an event last week at Rose City Ford in Windsor.
The groups receiving the support were the Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor-Essex County (CMHA-WECB), the Windsor Firefighters Benefit Fund, and the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
"Congratulations to the three community charitable organizations receiving funding support through the 'Road to 100' Roseland Responder Golf Classic," said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens. "These funds will be put to good use right here in Windsor-Essex."
Rose City Ford is the presenting partner of the Golf Classic, which is in the midst of a four-year series that will culminate with the 100th birthday of Roseland Golf Club in 2026.
The 2025 Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2025. Sponsorship packages and donations of giveaway items are already being accepted. For complete information, visit the official webpage or contact Nora Romero with the City of Windsor.
