Bright Lights Windsor tear down delayed by winter weather

The City of Windsor hopes to return Jackson Park to residents by early February after winter weather delayed the teardown of lights and displays from Bright Lights Windsor.

"The teardown process is progressing but is, as always, dependent on weather and ground conditions," said a release.

Jackson Park will open in phases, similar to the set up last fall.

The parking lot off Tecumseh Road remains closed, and visitors are encouraged to park on the south end of the park until further notice.

The city hopes to open up walkways through the park soon.

Meanwhile, the city is also asking residents for their feedback about this year's event. It's released an online survey.

More than 150,000 people attended Bright Lights Windsor this year.
