Sales for Windsor-made minivans mixed in 2024

As automakers celebrate the 2025 Detroit Auto Show, Stellantis' Windsor-made minivans enjoyed varying degrees of success on the sales floor in the previous year.

Stellantis Canada revealed its year-end sales figures this week. Both the Chrysler Pacifica and the Chrysler Grand Caravan enjoyed significant sales increases in December, compared to the same month in 2023.

However, results were mixed for all of 2024.

Sales of the higher-end Pacifica were up 86 per cent in December, compared to the same month the year before. 1,275 vehicles were sold in December, from 687 in 2023.

Sales of the Grand Caravan exploded in December, with 973 vehicles sold, compared to 34 in the same month last year. That accounts for a 2,762 per cent increase.

Pacifica sales were down 22 per cent for all of 2024, with a total of 5,486 vehicles leaving showrooms. For the Grand Caravan, 4,643 units were sold in 2024, a 131 per cent increase from 2023.

Stellantis Canada President Jeff Hines said 2025 shows promise for another Windsor-built vehicle, the Dodge Charger Daytona.

"We are excited about our new products, including the made-in-Canada Dodge Charger Daytona, now arriving in dealerships, Jeep Wagoneer S, plus the eagerly anticipated launches of the Ram 1500 Ramcharger and Jeep Recon," said Hines.
