The Windsor Police K9 Unit helped to track down and capture a suspect wanted in connection to a break-and-enter in South Windsor.
Police were called to a business on Dougall Avenue near the E.C. Row just before 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Investigators say a suspect forcefully entered the building and caused extensive property damage. A bag of stolen items was found at the scene.
Officers searched the area and found the suspect in a nearby scrap yard.
The 24-year-old faces charges of break-and-enter, possession of instruments for a break-and-enter, and failure to comply with a release order.
Police ask residents and business owners in the area to check their surveillance or dashcam footage, specifically between 4:30 and 6:30 a.m. on January 19, for evidence.
