Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a Windsor man has been arrested after catching him with a stolen truck and suspected illicit drugs.
An officer from the Leamington detachment was on routine patrol shortly before 3 a.m. on Thursday, and spotted the pickup truck in the area of Lutsch Street and Talbot Street East.
Officers from the Leamington, Kingsville, and Essex detachments worked with the Essex County Community Street Crime Unit to stop the driver and arrest him.
A search uncovered suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and oxycodone, with an estimated street value of $11,845.
The 51-year-old driver is charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, one count each of possessing methamphetamine and cocaine with intent to sell, and two counts of fentanyl possession with intent to sell.
The suspect has been released from custody and will have a chance to respond to the charges in a Windsor court on April 3.
