TWEPI opens voting on 10th annual Best of Windsor Essex Awards

Now that your nominations are in, Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is pleased to announce the 243 finalists in its tenth annual Best of Windsor Essex awards.

The awards celebrate the places we like best across the region, highlighting area restaurants, businesses, and attractions.

Voting on the finalists opened on Friday and will continue online until midnight Sunday, March 2. Participants can vote once per email address.

"Giving locals a voice in what we showcase and promote is important," said TWEPI CEO Gordon Orr. "This year along we are highlighting and profiling 243 businesses and attractions as finalists in the 48 awards, including bet pizza, best on-the-water activity, and best historical attraction."

Last year, over 34,000 people cast their votes. This year, voters will be entered to win a Best of Windsor Essex Shopping Spree with over $500 in prizes.

"With the calibre of these finalists, it will be hard for voters to choose just one, and we will be honouring multiple-year winners to celebrate our tenth anniversary," added Orr.

The City of Windsor received 23 nominations this year, including the Windsor Sculpture Park and Patterson Park Black History Murals in the best outdoor art category and Adventure Bay for best family-friendly attraction.
