Windsor police seek suspect in counterfeit money case

Windsor police's Financial Crimes Unit is looking for a man suspected of passing phony money in a series of online transactions.

Police say the suspect used 21 counterfeit $100 bills to complete two transactions with people who posted cell phones for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

The suspect provided the false name of "Tay Forgure".

He is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5’ 6” tall, with a slim build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a blue Champion hooded sweater, dark pants, and white running shoes.

Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts should call the Windsor police's Financial Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4330. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
