OPP release photos of suspects wanted in theft and fraud investigation

The Ontario Provincial Police has a warning and needs your help.

It's looking for two suspects as it investigates the theft of banking cards and a fraudulent transaction.

Police say the victim was trying to buy a car online and met with two people in Lakeshore on February 5.

The victim offered a down payment, but the suspects never delivered the vehicle.

Soon after the meeting, they also noticed their banking cards were missing.

Then, someone tried to use the stolen cards.

Police released photos of two women suspected in the case but don't know who they are. They hope someone will recognize them and call 1-888-310-1122, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or go to www.catchcrooks.com.

Meanwhile, the OPP cautions residents who buy items online to be careful.
