Five arrested in commercial break-in investigation

Five people have been arrested in a string of commercial break-ins.

The Windsor police said between January 28 and February 13, 2025, officers responded to four instances of thefts and break-ins at retail businesses throughout Windsor.

In two cases, the suspects used tools to smash their way into the property. In the other cases, the suspects entered the store, selected items and left without paying.

In total, the suspects stole approximately $8,000 worth of merchandise, including perfumes and colognes.

Officers from the Windsor Police Target Base Unit identified six suspects and a black sedan that was used in all four incidents.

Five suspects have been arrested and charged with a number of theft-related charges.

One suspect is still outstanding.

Some of the stolen items have been recovered and returned to their owners.
