Windsor man charged with impaired driving in Lakeshore

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a Windsor man did not get the message about the dangers of impaired driving.

Shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday, officers in Lakeshore received a complaint about someone driving erratically.

The vehicle was stopped at County Road 42 near Renaud Line.

The 44-year-old driver was charged with impaired driving and driving with excessive blood-alcohol content.

The driver's licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect was released and will have a chance to respond to the charges in a Windsor court on March 13.
