Bird Canada e-scooters and e-bikes return to Windsor

Bird Canada e-scooters and e-bikes return to Windsor this weekend, a sign that spring is in the offing.

The program continues to grow in popularity. Over 83,000 rides were taken last year, up from just under 69,000 the year before.

Bird Canada said those 30 to 39 make up the largest number of riders while the demographic of those between 40 and 49 is growing.

According to the company's website, Windsor fits "perfectly" with Bird Canada's mission, with more than 215 parks covering 2,800 acres of green space.

Those renting an e-scooter or e-bike need to download the Bird Canada app. It's $1.15 to unlock the e-scooter and $0.42 per minute to use.
