Windsor Police DIGS Unit seizes over $70,000 in illegal drugs

A 40-year-old man faces charges after Windsor Police took more than $70,000 worth of illegal drugs off the city's streets.

The Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit started investigating a man suspected of trafficking drugs earlier this month.

On Sunday, officers swooped down on a home on Felix Avenue between Millen Street and Giradot Street, where they found 1,351.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 41.5 grams of fentanyl, packaging materials, a digital scale, a debt list, and two cell phones.

Police arrested a suspect on Walker Road near 7th Concession Road.

They found $250 in cash and a digital scale during the arrest.

The suspect faces two charges for trafficking drugs and one of failing to comply with a release order.
