A fundraiser supporting those going through the challenges of childhood cancer is ready to go for this weekend.
Childcan, an organization dedicated to providing support and funding for families of children with cancer, will hold its annual fundraiser on Sunday at the Fogolar Furlan Club in Windsor.
According to its official website, Childcan was created in 1974, with the mission of helping families of kids with cancer across Ontario. They provide financial support, advocate for families' needs, and lobby for funding for treatment closer to the patient's home.
Mix 96.7 FM is the media sponsor of the fundraiser, with Mix Mornings cohosts Jay and Tori serving as masters of ceremonies.
The musical acts set to perform at the fundraiser include Justin Jewell, the band J# Major, the British Invasion tribute band British Beat 66, and the classic rock band Crack the Whip.
The event will also feature a silent auction, a penny raffle, a 50/50 draw, drinks and food available for purchase, and other activities.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for young people aged 12 to 17, and free for those 11 and under. They can be purchased online with all proceeds supporting Childcan.
