Over 1,100 City of Windsor employees earned over $100,000 last calendar year.
That's according to the annual "sunshine list", a public document that must disclose, under Ontario law, the salaries of all employees who earn more than $100,000 a year.
The current threshold was first set in 1996.
This year's list includes police officers, firefighters, personal support workers, and senior management.
Once again, the highest-paid public employee of the City of Windsor is Chief Administrative Officer Joseph Mancina, who earned $320,450.87 in 2024.
Windsor Police Chief Jason Bellaire, retiring later this year, earned $288,152.01.
Outgoing Fire Chief Stephen Laforet made $230,075.68, while his successor, James Waffle, earned $216,491.25.
City Solicitor Shelby Askin Hager made $247,936.10 in 2024.
Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens earned $212,244.96 in 2024, about $2,600 more than he made in 2023.
A total of seven employees of Enwin Utilities are also on the list, all earning over $200,000. President and Chief Executive Officer Garry Rossi earned $333,598.
Topping the list in Windsor-Essex again is Windsor Regional Hospital President and CEO David Musyj, who earned $465,369.48 in 2024. The acting president and CEO, Karen Riddell, made $362,523.43.
University of Windsor President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Robert Gordon came in second on the Windsor-Essex list, making $432,465.82.
At Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, President and CEO Bill Marra earned $368,972.70 in salary last year.
Meanwhile, at the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, the list included teachers, administrators, and specialists. Director of Education Emelda Byrne made $276,505.51 in salary last year.
At the Greater Essex County District School Board, Director of Education Vicki Houston made $249,234.30 in 2024.
