Conservatives pick new candidate for Windsor-Tecumseh-Lakeshore

The Conservative Party of Canada has named a new candidate for Windsor-Tecumseh-Lakeshore.

Kathy Borrelli is now named as the candidate on the party's website. However, as of 3 p.m. Friday, she was not listed as a candidate on the Elections Canada official website.

Borrelli replaces Mark McKenzie, who was asked to withdraw from the race earlier this week after controversial audio from an old podcast resurfaced.

Borrelli also ran for the Conservative Party in Windsor-Tecumseh in the 2021 campaign and came in third in the riding with 14,605 votes.

Also running in the new riding of Windsor-Tecumseh-Lakeshore are Liberal incumbent Irek Kusmierczyk, Nick Babic of the People's Party of Canada, Helmi Charif of the Centrist Party of Canada, Alex Ilijoski of the New Democratic Party, and Beth St. Denis of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada.

Election Day is April 28, 2025.
