Those seeking a career that involves helping neighbours are encouraged to attend a free event on Wednesday.
Windsor police will host a First Responders Career Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts.
Over 30 law enforcement agencies from both sides of the border, military branches, fire services, paramedic services, and others will be available to provide information, network with people, and recruit for current or future job openings, internships, and volunteer opportunities.
Among the agencies scheduled to participate are LaSalle police, Ontario Provincial Police, Detroit police, Windsor Fire and Rescue, Lakeshore Fire, Amherstburg Fire, and others.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will also be on hand, along with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development; the Canadian Army, the Canadian Coast Guard, and more.
No pre-registration is required.
