Officers were called to a home on Marentette Avenue Sunday evening after a report of a person with a firearm.

They established a perimeter around the home, and five people came out. They were all temporarily detained as officers searched the property.

Police found a man hiding in a bedroom closet. They also seized an altered semi-automatic shotgun, five 12-gauge shotgun cartridges, and 16.7 grams of fentanyl.

The 49-year-old man is facing charges related to possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
