A man has been arrested in connection to robberies at two local jewellery stores.
The first robbery happened Friday at Tecumseh Mall. A suspect used a tool to smash a glass display case and made off with $50,000 in jewellery.
Two days later, a similarly disguised person tried to smash a glass display case at a different jewellery store in the same mall. The glass didn't break and the suspect took off without any merchandise.
Windsor police report that they identified a 36-year-old man believed to be involved in both incidents. He was found on Parent Avenue and arrested on Monday,
The man is facing charges of robbery with violence, attempted robbery with violence, wearing a disguise, uttering bodily harm, possession of stolen property, mischief, and breach of probation.
