Driver charged after hitting multiple parked vehicles

Windsor police have arrested a driver who allegedly struck numerous parked vehicles in Walkerville.

Officers responded to a collision call at around 5 a.m. on Thursday on Lincoln Road near Wyandotte Street East. They learned that someone in a black Dodge Charger had hit four vehicles parked on Lincoln.

The driver of the Charger then got out, removed the licence plates from the car, then ran off.

Police found the suspect at a home on Lincoln near Erie Street East soon after, took her into custody, then to hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash.

The 23-year-old woman is charged with failure to remain at the scene of a crash. The charge has not been proven in court.
